Hello all…

I know it’s been a bit. Over 3 years since my last post, this website has been lying pretty dormant. The domain even stopped working for a bit and I didn’t even realize it!

So it’s time to get it going again. I’ll try my damnedest to keep fresh content coming more regularly. But with changes on the horizon (more on that later), we’ll see how it goes.

Anyway, what have I been up to? My last post was in December 2020. We were amid a global pandemic. We had just moved to Germany the summer before. We lived in a small town with everything shut down, so we were pretty bored (to say the least).

Summer 2021, we moved down the road a bit to Kaiserslautern. Being a city of 100,000 people, it was a bit more our speed. With bars and restaurants opening again and travel restrictions loosening up, we were finally able to enjoy Germany and our close proximity to the rest of Europe.

Trips to Luxembourg, Belgium, Iceland, Champagne, Italy, Paris, Portugal, Romania, Mallorca, Scotland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Switzerland, Egypt (!!), Czechia, Ireland, Madrid, Amsterdam, Poland, London, and all over Germany were enjoyed before it was time for another big move.

We moved to Shanghai, China, in July 2023. Another big move but we were excited to get back to Asia. The food, the travel, the people, the languages, all was exciting to start exploring again.

Now this brings us to our next big change: we’re expecting our first child in March 2024. We’re so excited to start seeing the world through our child’s eyes, showing him everything the world has to offer!
